'People are afraid' - the reasons 'juggernaut' Arsenal are the team to beat.

The proof is undeniable why Arsenal are now many people's preferred choice to claim the Premier League during this term.

Examine their outcomes against West Ham and Crystal Palace in contrast with those equivalent matches last season.

The Gunners have defeated all of them during this campaign, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they faded in the title race previously.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's defensive solidity is a key reason why they are looking well positioned to ultimately achieve their title target.

They rank top for clean sheets (6), goals conceded (3), opposition efforts (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and xGA (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is potentially the strongest in the league, with Arsenal recording a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Excellence

Their threat from set-pieces is widely recognized, but rival sides still don't know how to contain the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have registered 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals coming from these situations.

"Arsenal can excel in various aspects now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just fearful of them and it is wonderful to see."

Title Credentials

What is especially notable about Arsenal's commencement to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United on the road and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still four points clear at the top.

While they maintain victories, their long-standing opponents are struggling. This marks the premier instance at this stage of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on boss Mikel Arteta at the beginning, having invested around £250m on eight summer acquisitions in search of that elusive first title since 2004.

But the spending has so far yielded results in remarkable manner, with his side one of the most prolific attacks in the league and boasting the most resilient defense, despite numerous injuries.

  • Shutouts in three consecutive Premier League games
  • Over six hours without letting in a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and pundits have labeled Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with belief and purpose.
