The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
